A Dream Dies Slowly

A Dream dies slowly,

From the very touch of morning’s cold light,

Obscures it’s clarity.

Through foggy eyes, prismatic with light,

Does the mind recall,

A night of darkness and woe,

And not of distant stars.

So is their splendour lost,

Burned away by morning’s cold light.
